Hope Part Two

It is one of three main elements of Christian character as noted in 1Corinthians 13:13. It is a part of faith and love (charity). In hope is the whole glory of the Christian vocation centered. Ephesians 1:18; Ephesians 4:4. Unbelievers have no hope such as this. Ephesians 2:12; I Thess. 4:13. It is a “lively” hope. In other words, it is a living hope. It is not frail and perishable. It has an eternal existence. I Peter 1:3. Romans 5:2 says it is “the hope set before us–eternal life. See Romans 12:12. I John 3:3 says that our hope is in Him. It is a hope based upon God.
