For God So Loved the World

John 3:16-17 (KJV)

(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

These two verses are the most well-known verses to almost all people. God’s love is infinite. Because of this, our finite minds cannot begin to comprehend this kind of love. There are those who fling the word “love” around so much that humanity does not know what it truly means. The love that God has for His children is matchless. Even if I could explain it, it would be weak because the English language or any other language does not possess the word(s) to speak of its reality and immenseness.

Not only does God so love the world, He did not stop there. His love for us caused Him to send His only and only Son into this sin cursed world to die for us. When Jesus hung on the Cross, He had you and I on His mind. Even though we were not even a twinkle in our mother’s eyes, He had us in mind. He did it so that we could be reconciled to the Father. He removed the middle wall of partition and made all one in Him. http://ref.ly/Co1.21We were given eternal life. Our sins were washed away. There would be no need for giving sacrifices and offerings any longer. http://ref.ly/He10.10 He did it once for all. He fulfilled the law and prophets. There was no need for us to be held in bondage by the law. The law was only a school teacher (tutor) to help us understand the righteousness found in the Father.
