Jesus Came to Turn the World Upside Down

The religious leaders accuse Jesus of being mad, crazy, and being demon-possessed. By their standards, Jesus appears to be all these things. He chose a cross when He might have gained political power. He was the suffering servant when He could have been a conquering king. Instead, He leaves the image of a Savior washing His disciples’ feet. He could have had people kneeling at His feet instead. He came to serve and not be served. He came to turn the world’s standards upside down. He gave the example of giving instead of taking. We were given an example of loving our enemies, and to forgive our offenders. He brought sanity and love into a world filled with insanity, hate, greed, and selfishness. He turned this world upside down.
